We are excited to bring the 2017 Wellness Series to you this January and February 2017. The next several posts we will be introducing you to our featured speakers. Of course, the most natural place to start is with us–the co-creators and co-founders of the series.
- Dr. Erin Kinney
Dr. Erin Kinney will be the featured speaker on two nights of our 2017 Workshops:
- January 17th – “Nutrition and Mindful Eating”
- February 21st – “Sleep & Qigong”
Dr. Kinney, native to Annapolis, MD and owner of KinnCare Naturopathic is a doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. She specializes in caring for patients who suffer from anxiety, depression, gastro-intestinal disorders, and adrenal fatigue. Using personalized diet, genetic counseling, lifestyle modification, homeopathic remedies, and herbal medicine, she is able to balance and boost the body’s natural regenerative capacity and help her patients overcome disease.
She received a bachelor of arts from Vanderbilt University and is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM). Not only was Dr. Kinney the top her graduating class, she also earned the Academic Excellence and the Outstanding Student Clinician awards chosen by the faculty.
Dr. Kinney is currently vice president of the Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association, an active member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physcians and is passionate about spreading awareness about Naturopathic Medicine. She enjoys running, yoga, reading, and spending time with her family.
Karin Mitchell, MA, ACC, is a Life Coach, Counselor, Meditation Teacher, and Speaker. She will be the lead facilitator on the following nights:
- January 10th – “Self Care as a Key Component to Life Balance”
- January 31st – “Changing Your Story: Working with our Belief Systems to Unlock our Potential for Greater Health and Happiness”
- February 28th – “Vision Boards/Goal Setting”
Karin holds graduate degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Health and Wellness Coaching. Throughout her career, Karin has worked with a variety of populations of people from the most shunned in our society to the most privileged. She has come to realize that we all want the same things in life…to be happy and to live a life that has meaning. Ultimately, she helps people get clear on what they want for their life and how to get it.
Karin started her business Chart Your Course in 2013, providing individualized life coaching, wellness seminars, retreats, and Meditation courses. She feels lucky to know her passion in life is to help people and feels honored to work with people in making changes that are significant and lasting in their lives.
