Do you ever ask yourself this question (or versions of it)? What is the point of my life? What is the purpose of my life? Why am I here? You know, that light, easy question! ;-)     You have a sense it’s not to be doing the job you are currently doing, or to own a home in the suburbs, or drive an Audi. You know… you realize the point of this existence on Earth must be for something greater. Why do people like Life Coaches always ask this damn question? We ask it because it’s the most important question. Ever.

See our lives are meant to matter. Our lives are meant to have meaning and to fulfill a purpose, many purposes. If you are not aware yet of your purpose, then perhaps you feel a dull ache in your heart, a sense of loneliness or subtle sadness. You may feel pulled towards something, but you keep denying it. You say “not today,” “I couldn’t possibly do that!” “What will people think of me?” This last one is my personal favorite as the fear of being judged by others is so powerful and pervasive. I have seen it hold so many people back in living a life they’d love. What I would say is “It’s never too late to start living how you want to.”

My advice? Do something every day that inches you towards that bigger picture, that bigger reason of why you are here. For example, if you are meant to help people, but are not working in a helping profession, start volunteering somewhere regularly. Research daily opportunities to take your need/love of helping others to the next step. Maybe that’s in another country, maybe it looks like something you never dreamed of… but once you know about it, you cannot stop thinking about it. Once you start to inch, step, slide, jump towards ‘the point’ of your existence here on Earth, something magical starts to happen… opportunities open up, people start to show up in your life who connect you to this person or that experience, etc. It all starts to fall into place. You start to live in a frequency of your life that makes more and more sense.

And that feels so good.

See, you aren’t meant to be bored or sad or numb… you’re meant to be happy, joyful, and ALIVE!

Find what makes you come ALIVE, and then go do it! We have this one and only life, this gift. It would be a shame to waste it! :)
